Bill and I are former educators, have been married since 1991, and have owned Siberians since 1995. After watching our first dogsled race one cold winter we decided to buy a Siberian. A few years later we went on a dogsled tour in Maine and fell in love with the sport. We later met a musher in Maine who showed us the basics of mushing and we immediately knew this was for us. We slowly began to build our kennel for our recreational pleasure with the help of Kryska Sibes Kennel, located in Bow, New Hampshire. Due to the support and knowledge of Maureen Marcoux we were given the opportunity to fulfill our dream of racing.

A few years ago after watching a mid-distance race I decided I had to try it. I ran three thirty mile races in 2003 and am the only female racer in the state of CT, running mid-distance races. I discovered that my Siberians have great endurance and running mid-distance races allow me time to bond with them and keep them challenged. Bill trains the yearlings, helping them learn how to run in harness and trail manners. We are presently starting our own breeding program to build up our racing kennel. Our goal is to eventually run longer mid-distance races all over the United States and Canada.

In our off season we both enjoy doing educational programs, pet therapy and mushing clinics. We always welcome visitors to our kennel and are available for demonstrations.
